Adventuresinbeelands Blog My beekeeping bumbles

The queen who went in the wrong place. Today I found a mystery awaiting me at the allotment. Ever seen this many bees. And bees with pollen disappearing within their midst? Usually you might get maybe a couple of bees wandering around under the floor. I had a look through the hive to see if that might help solve the mystery. On the Thursday and Friday evening I had tied up a half dozen poly yarn olives, some high riding poly yarn and deer hair sedges as well as some nymphs and they did the business for the two days of hard fishing. Trout with a Poly Yarn Olive.

Beekeeping afloat A blog of beekeeping and living afloat

A blog of beekeeping and living afloat. So a little late in the season I started my 2. Queen cells empty after the queens have emerged. To help me work out the timings and work to a calendar I found this website. And their queen rearing chart a great help you simply enter the date you wish to start and it does the rest although I have made one alteration to it and transfer the cells a day later to the mating nucs as I think they are a bit early with their timings. The nine queen cells cap.
